BackPack Beginnings

Brand Update

PROJECT COMPLETED WITH LS3P.

Programs Used: Adobe Illustrator + InDesign + Photoshop

While at LS3P, I partnered with a team to provide pro bono branding support for Backpack Beginnings, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing quality food, clothing, and essential items to children and families in need. The project focused on strengthening the organization's visual identity while creating a more cohesive and flexible brand system that could support its continued growth and community outreach.

My role included developing new brand elements that could be carried across social media, marketing materials, and future campaigns, as well as designing a refreshed tri-fold brochure to help communicate the organization's mission, programs, and impact to donors, volunteers, and community partners. The result is a clean, approachable visual system that reflects Backpack Beginnings' compassionate mission while giving the team practical tools to tell their story consistently across print and digital touchpoints.

The goal was to create a visual identity that felt as caring as the organization itself. The brand system pairs vibrant, optimistic colors with soft organic forms to communicate compassion, accessibility, and joy. Clean layouts, friendly typography, and simple graphic elements ensure information remains clear while giving the brand a distinctive personality. Designed to be both flexible and memorable, the system easily adapts across print, social media, environmental graphics, and promotional materials, creating a cohesive experience that reflects Backpack Beginnings' mission of providing families with quality essentials and a sense of hope.
